HAG SPRING:

A WRITING WORKSHOP

April 2nd: ROOTS

April 9th: STONES

April 16th: HERBS

April 23rd: BONES

April 30th: THE HAG

This workshop breaks tradition and is five Saturdays instead of the usual four each spring brings. HAG SPRING is the next workshop series in the seasonally inspired, always thematic (W)rites of Passage Creative Writing Series facilitated by Sarah Elizabeth Schantz.

Sarah serves as writing midwife by providing space to write in community. She offers literary examples for participants to study and assigns unique prompts designed to inspire both the novice & seasoned writer; calling upon the hag who summons the spring from the land of the dead, this upcoming workshop will concentrate on the root work of this wise woman archetype; we will throw bones and stones to the writing to come and grow and forage and brew herbs before we designate the last Saturday workshop to the honorary hag herself. Both poets & prose writers welcome. Small workshops of no more than 8 participants guarantee the intimacy artists require to truly flourish.

This five-week series will take place on Saturdays from 11:00-2:30 MST via Zoom. On May 1st, following the final workshop, from 12:30-2:00 p.m. there will be a salon|celebration|ceremony.

$250 for the entire series (includes a 13 page critique) or $60 for individual Saturdays. Please register by emailing us at writesofpassage13@gmail.com or clicking on the contact tab above.
