for Deeper Divination in Your Writing

Tarot is a great way to gain further insight into your life, but did you know it’s also a wonderful divination tool for writing? In this two-hour workshop, we will work together to help generate new work, evoke new ideas, or work on a stubborn piece of writing that might need further insight. All levels of Tarot experience welcome! Please come ready (to the Zoom room) with a Tarot deck or Oracle deck (whichever you are most comfortable working with), as well as an idea for a piece of writing, a current writing project, or something you might need a little divination help with! We’ll bounce ideas off each other and share our frustrations and insights. You will walk away from this workshop with a new idea or a plan to resolve your current writing project.

Hillary Leftwich is the author of three books: Ghosts Are Just Strangers Who Know How to Knock (CCM Press/The Accomplices 2019), which is one of The Accomplices Best Sellers, a finalist for Big Other’s Best Fiction Book of 2019, and voted as one of Entropy’s Best Fiction Books of 2019; Aura, a memoir, from Future Tense Books in 2022; and Saint Dymphna’s Playbook by PANK Books in 2023. She focuses her writing on class struggle, single motherhood, trauma, mental illness, the supernatural, ritual, and the impact of neurological disease. She is a Kenyon Review scholarship alumnus (2021) for CNF. Her writing has been published in print and online in Best Small Fictions (2021), The Rumpus, Entropy, Denver Quarterly, and others. She is the owner of Alchemy Author Services & Writing Workshop, teaches creative writing at Lighthouse Writers, is a creative writing instructor at DU’s College for Professional Studies, and Visiting Assistant Professor in Creative Writing at Colorado College. Hillary is an intuitive Tarologist and has been reading Tarot for over 20 years coupled with her clair abilities. She is a registered member of the Tarosophy Tarot Association and The Monroe Institute and is a student at The College of Psychic Studies.
